Commercial Interior Design (CID) has once again paid tribute to the projects, firms and designers making their mark on the region’s interior design industry. Now in its 13th edition, this year’s CID Awards ceremony was held at the Joharah Ballroom, Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on 11 September, gathering over 1,000 members of the Middle East’s design community under a single roof.

Spanning 18 categories, the awards covered a wide spectrum of interiors, from hospitality to retail and public sector to office design and residential. The awards programme also focuses on recognising the people who shaped the biggest projects of the year, with categories such as Behind the Scenes, Young Interior Designer of the Year and the highest accolade: Interior Designer of the Year.

Anarchitect picked up three prizes this year, including Hotels, Residential Design of the Year, and an award for the most Outstanding Use of American Hardwoods in a Middle East project.

The Dubai-based boutique practice tied with Lebanese design studio Rabih Geha Architects who also picked up three trophies for Retail and Bars & Clubs, with the founder of the firm, Rabih Geha, receiving this year’s biggest honour of Interior Designer of the Year.
