ISG has completed the fit-out of the new Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) headquarters, designed by Perkins+Will.
ADAA was established as an independent body in 2008 under the authority of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. A decade following its establishment, ADAA oversees approximately 300 Government-owned entities and subsidiaries. As its scope expanded, so did its workforce, and the demand for highly-specified office space, designed and delivered with ADAA’s mandate in mind, increased.
The new office is located in the United Square Towers, a new mixed-used development in Abu Dhabi City.
Perkins + Will, as lead consultant, worked with TUV-SUD to provide MEP/ Security/IT & AV consultancy, Aecom for project and cost management, Acoustic Logic for acoustics, Design Confidence for FLS and Mark Habre for AOR.
The resultant space, built by ISG is an elegant refined workplace with an appreciation for the "core values of transparency, respect and accountability intrinsic to ADAA".
"The design reflects the vision of the company, creating a neutral and harmonious space with touches of contemporary bold elements. We chose to take cues from nature with an innovative approach towards materials to create a unique interior that represents ADAA within the future environment. We are always delighted to see designs come to life with attention to detail,” said Diane Thorsen, design principal at Perkins + Will.
In August 2018, ISG was appointed to undertake the fit out of its new 65,000 sq. ft offices from a shell and core build. ISG delivered a lateral working environment, including 236 closed workstations, closed offices, meeting rooms, break out areas, a library and majlis, all located on one floor.
