Hotelier Middle East has released a list of the top 9 most anticipated hotel openings in the Middle East and North Africa in 2019.

1. W Muscat

Proposed opening date: Q1 2019

Owner: OMRAN

F&B outlets: 7 tantalizing restaurants & bars

The property is located on the white sandy beach of Shatti Al Qurum, and includes two outdoor swimming pools and a 24h state-of-the-art FIT fitness facility. The design of the hotel is inspired by Omani culture, featuring beachfront access with views that capture both the sea and rugged Al Hajar Mountains. It will be the first W brand in the Gulf country.

The design of the hotel is underpinned by the idea of Dubai creek - stretching from the historic Deira area encompassing the Ras Al Khor Bird sanctuary to Business Bay and Jumeirah. The hotel’s facade is inspired by Islamic geometric patterns, with large floor to ceiling windows in every room which perfectly frame views of the neighbourhood, that also flood the room with daylight.
