Pallavi Dean Interiors has announced the appointment of Kathryn Atherya as its new managing director, with the aim to spearhead the growth of the company into a new stage.
With over two decades of experience in marketing and operations, Atherya was head of marketing for MENA at real estate consultancy, JLL as well as working at Canadian design and branding firm Watt, both in Toronto and Dubai.
At Pallavi Dean Interiors, Atherya will be rebranding the company name – which is set to be announced later this month – as well as redefining the firm’s design philosophy, and pushing forward the company’s goal to expand internationally. The firm currently has ongoing projects in the UK and India.
She will also be setting a three-year plan for the company, streamlining its operations, and meeting decision makers within the key sectors that the firm operates in including hospitality, commercial, residential, education and retail design.
“Kathryn is in every sense an A-player,” said founder, Pallavi Dean. “The marketing lessons learned at world class companies will prove invaluable. But marketing is just one string to her bow. I’ve seen first-hand how strong she is at project management and operations. And she’s a strategic thinker, with a firm vision for where Pallavi Dean Interiors is heading.”
Commenting on the appointment, Atherya said: “Working in real estate in the UAE, I couldn’t help but notice the ripples that Pallavi and the team have sent through the industry in recent years. Not just for their creative flair, but for their practical nous, delivering projects on time and under budget in a market where delays and cost-overruns are commonplace. Throw in the latest technologies such as parametric design, 3D printing and virtual reality, and the potential is just incredible.”
